Power Systems Recruiting - power infrastructure for data centers

Power systems engineering recruiting.

Data center campuses now look like small utilities. We recruit the power systems engineers who model, design and protect them, and the leaders who run onsite generation.

// The practice

Why power systems recruiting needs a specialist.

Where we find candidates
  • Utility system planning and protection groups
  • Power systems consulting firms
  • IPPs and generation developers
  • Industrial and mission-critical electrical design firms

Large campuses need load-flow, short-circuit, arc-flash and stability studies, medium- and high-voltage design and, increasingly, onsite generation and storage behind the meter.

Power systems engineers with that mix of utility-grade analysis and fast-paced project delivery are in heavy demand across developers, operators, EPCs and consultants.

We recruit power systems engineers, onsite generation managers and electrical engineering leaders who can work at campus scale.

// How a search works
  1. 01

    Scope

    We define the power systems role with you: reporting line, project stage, must-have experience and a realistic compensation range.

  2. 02

    Map

    We map the market across utilities, developers, consultants and contractors, including people who aren't actively looking.

  3. 03

    Engage

    We approach candidates confidentially, explain the opportunity in their language and screen for real technical depth.

  4. 04

    Shortlist

    You receive a short, calibrated slate with written assessments, compensation expectations and timing.

  5. 05

    Close

    We manage interviews, references, offer strategy and resignation so good candidates don't fall away at the end.

// Common questions

Power Systems Recruiting, answered.

What does a power systems engineer do at a data center?+

They model and design the campus electrical system (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination and arc flash) and support utility interconnection and onsite generation.

Which tools do you screen for?+

Commonly ETAP, SKM, PSS/E, PSCAD or PowerWorld, depending on whether the role is campus design or grid-facing analysis.

Do you recruit PEs?+

Yes. Many power systems searches require or prefer a Professional Engineer license, and we screen for it.

Do you recruit for onsite generation?+

Yes: gas turbines, reciprocating engines, fuel cells and battery storage roles are a growing part of this practice.
