Questions, answered.

How we work with companies building power teams and the professionals who power them.

01

For companies

What kinds of roles do you recruit for?+

Specialized roles across the data center power lifecycle — interconnection, onsite generation, substations and transmission, utility and regulatory, powered land, construction and delivery, energy finance and critical operations.

How does a search start?+

Send us a short brief through the Request Talent page. We follow up to talk through the role, then share a search plan and what we’re seeing in the market.

Can searches be confidential?+

Yes. Many of our searches are confidential, and we only share client details with candidates when it’s appropriate.

Do you hire for single roles or whole teams?+

Both. We support individual senior hires as well as teams built from the ground up for new campuses or programs.

How long does a typical search take?+

Most searches produce a shortlist in three to five weeks and close within two to three months. Executive searches can take longer.

How are your fees structured?+

Most roles are contingency, so you pay only when you hire. Executive and confidential searches are typically retained. We’ll walk you through options during intake.

Which markets do you cover?+

We recruit nationwide, with deep networks in Northern Virginia, Texas, Phoenix, the Carolinas, Georgia and the Midwest.

Can you help benchmark compensation?+

Yes. We share current market ranges at the start of every search, and our salary guide covers ten of the most in-demand roles.

02

For candidates

Is there a cost to work with GridTal?+

No. Our clients pay for our services, never candidates.

Will you share my résumé without asking?+

Never. We only present your profile to a company after you’ve agreed.

I don’t see a matching role. Should I still apply?+

Yes. Many searches are never posted publicly. Submit a general profile and we’ll reach out when a fit opens.

Do I need data center experience?+

Not always. Many of our placements bring utility, generation or infrastructure experience into digital infrastructure.

What happens after I apply?+

A recruiter reviews every application. If there’s a fit, we’ll set up a call to learn more about your goals and share details about the role.

Will you help me prepare for interviews?+

Yes. We brief you on the company, the team and the interview process, and give honest feedback after each stage.

Can you help with offers and relocation?+

Yes. We help candidates understand offers, negotiate fairly and plan relocations when needed.

How do I update or delete my information?+

Email hello@gridtal.com and we’ll update or remove your details.

GridTal is a specialized recruiting firm focused on the people who power data centers. We are a division of Kingmakers LLC, based in Cornelius, North Carolina.

Why focus only on data center power?+

Power has become the biggest constraint on data center growth, and the talent pool is small and specialized. Focusing lets us know the market deeply.

Can I refer someone?+

Yes. Our referral program thanks you when an introduction leads to a placement.

Do you publish research?+

Yes. Read our insights articles, subscribe to the GridTal Brief, or download our salary guide.
