Our client is a venture-backed energy developer that builds onsite power plants for data centers that cannot wait for the grid. Its projects pair natural gas generation with battery storage to energize campuses years ahead of utility upgrades.
You'll own projects from feasibility through notice to proceed and help build out the development playbook as the company grows.
01 / What you’ll do
- Lead generation projects from site screening and feasibility through financial close and notice to proceed
- Manage turbine, reciprocating engine and battery storage procurement
- Run air permitting, fuel supply and gas interconnection workstreams
- Build project schedules and budgets and present them to investors and customers
- Coordinate with utilities on bridge-to-grid and hybrid supply strategies
- Hire and manage engineering, permitting and legal consultants
02 / What you bring
- 8+ years in power generation development
- Hands-on experience with gas turbine or reciprocating engine projects
- Track record of taking projects to financial close
- Working knowledge of air permitting and gas supply agreements
- Willingness to travel to sites up to 30%
03 / Nice to have
- Battery storage or microgrid development experience
- Experience with data center or industrial customers
- Engineering degree or MBA
